Chips Warranty

While a manufacturer’s warranty only covers defects in parts and workmanship for a limited time, Chips Warranty provides a comprehensive safety net designed for real-life situations. It covers accidental damage such as cracked screens, liquid spills, and unexpected mechanical failures.

Packages of Chips Warranty

1. Extended Warranty (Essential Warranty)

An essential warranty plan that allows you to extend the manufacturer’s warranty for up to 3 years from the date of the purchase.

2. Device Protection Warranty

A comprehensive protection plan that allows you to extend the manufacturer’s warranty for up to 2 years, in addition to device protection coverage for up to 2 years, starting from the date of purchase.

Faults caused by accidents, liquid spills, or water damage are covered.

ü  Forceful Theft
Compensation of up to 70% if the device is forcefully stolen with valid documentation.

Any damage resulting from electrical faults is covered.

Damage affecting device efficiency due to dust and humidity is covered.

Coverage beyond the manufacturer’s warranty.

*Any replacement of the device will be having depreciation of 30% from the retail price.

 

 

Exclusions

The following are not covered under the Chips Warranty Packages:

  • Expenses that are covered under the manufacturers or importer’s legal warranty or guarantee.
  • Accessories included with the product or used alongside it, unless covered by a separate Extended Warranty Insurance (e.g. charger, cables).
  • Replacement of consumables or accessories.
  • Normal wear and tear of product parts resulting from regular use and not affecting on the performance of the device.
  • Routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, inspection, modification, formatting, and residue removal.
  • Damages caused by unauthorized repairs, theft, robbery, misuse, or faulty use as stated in the repair report.
  • Damages caused by sand, water, liquid contact, user-induced physical damage, fire, flood, lightning, intentional damage, impact, corrosion, battery leakage, natural disasters, earthquakes, storms, hurricanes, or animal/insect infestation.
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized entry, unauthorized use, or accidents.
  • Costs related to disassembling or reassembling the product for reasons other than Extended Warranty Insurance claims.
  • Damages caused by external factors such as power supply issues, energy acquisition problems, signal failure, or transmission issues.
  • Problems or defects not covered by the manufacturers or importer’s warranty.
  • Lifespan reduction or performance degradation due to normal battery usage.
  • Failures resulting from misuse, deliberate negligence, faulty settings, faulty installation and usage of unfitting accessories.
  • Damage of data/ equipment/ software due to a virus infection or the like.

 

 

 

How to Apply

  • The customer must visit a Chips Service Center to submit a damage claim.
  • The customer must present the original purchase invoice along with the device.
  • Service center agents will assess the issue and contact the customer within 24 hours.
  • The defective parts will be replaced to get the device perform again; in case the device is repairable.
  • In case of Forceful theft:

§  A copy of the customer’s CID is required.

§  The customer must provide a Police Report for the forceful theft.

§  An explanation written document by the customer about the forceful theft status.

§  Copy of the purchase invoice under same customer’s name.
